SaaS Price Increases 2024 to 2026: 32 Verified Hikes

Between January 2024 and 22 October 2026 we logged 32 verified list-price increases across 26 tools. For the 14 plans where a source states both the old and the new USD price, the median rise is 20%, from 7% to 100%. Existing customers often pay the new price only at their next renewal, so your renewal date matters more than the announcement date.

Cover graphic: SaaS Price Increases 2024 to 2026: 32 Verified Hikes. 32 verified price increases, 26 tools; 20% median rise in a plan's list price; 7 price cuts logged, against 32 increases.

Scope: this is a verified log, not a census. It lists price and plan changes we could confirm from a source our editors opened and read, for the tools searched so far; a tool that is missing is not evidence that its price stayed the same. As of 22 October 2026 the log holds 96 entries for 74 tools: 32 increases, 7 decreases, 42 plan changes, 11 free-plan changes and 4 discontinued plans. Dates are effective dates where the vendor states one; four increases (Canva, the Microsoft 365 consumer plans, Slack and a Bulutfon fee) are dated by their announcement. The full list, with sources, is on the price changes page.

Increases by year

Of the 96 entries, 32 (one in three) are increases and only 7 are decreases. The increases fall into three calendar years:

Happy Valley price change log, increases by date of change, as of 2026-10-22. Totals count entries; Atlassian's Jira and Confluence are two entries each time.

The log grew as we searched more tools, so the by-year counts show what we could verify, not a trend in the market.

How large the increases are

In 14 of the increases a source states the old and the new USD list price of one plan, so the size can be calculated. The median is 20%. The smallest are 7% (Jira and Confluence Standard) and the largest is 100% (Airbyte Cloud Standard, from $10 to $20 a month).

Bar chart of the size of 14 SaaS plan price increases since 2024: Airbyte Cloud Standard +100%, Microsoft 365 Personal +43%, Todoist Pro +40%, Power BI Pro +40%, 1Password Individual +33%, Xero Cashbook +25%, Slack Business+ +20%, Voiceflow Business +20%, Google Workspace Business Standard +17%, Microsoft 365 Business Basic +17%, Thinkific Basic +10%, QuickBooks Simple Start +9%, Jira Standard +7% and Confluence Standard +7%. The median is 20%.

Left out of this table: Canva (some older Teams plans moved to a new price), Kajabi's extra-contacts add-on, Backblaze's per-TB storage rate, plans where a source states only the new price (Kit, FreshBooks), percentage-only announcements (Salesforce, Atlassian in 2025) and prices in Turkish lira. Several increases came with new features or packaging, such as Gemini in Google Workspace, Copilot in Microsoft 365 Personal and credits at Voiceflow, so the percentages are not a like-for-like value comparison.

Vendors that raised prices twice in about a year

QuickBooks Online rose twice in 13 months. According to Intuit's notice as relayed by accounting firms, monthly prices went up on 1 July 2025: Essentials from $65 to $75, Plus from $99 to $115 and Advanced from $235 to $275. Intuit's pricing page now lists $85, $140 and $340 for renewals from 1 August 2026. Cumulatively that is +31%, +41% and +45% on those three plans. Simple Start rose once, from $35 to $38 in July 2025, and is unchanged in 2026.

Atlassian raised cloud list prices on 15 October 2025 (Standard 5%, Premium 7.5%, Enterprise 7.5 to 10% by user count, according to its investor notice) and again on 13 October 2026, when Jira Standard on monthly billing for 1 to 100 users went from $9.05 to $9.70 per user and Confluence Standard from $6.70 to $7.15, according to Atlassian's pricing tables. The 2026 update applies to new purchases as well as renewals and upgrades.

The same pattern shows up in lira. The yearly Economy package of Bulutfon, a cloud phone system for Turkish businesses, went from 2,650 TL to 3,790 TL in January 2025 and to 5,110 TL in January 2026 according to its own price tables, a cumulative rise of 93%. In September 2026 it announced that the yearly fee per phone number goes from 249 TL to 369 TL on 1 December 2026, citing rising costs. When existing customers pay the new price

A list-price increase and the day you pay it are often different dates. The vendors' own notices give these examples:

  • monday.com: new subscriptions moved to the new prices on 11 January 2024 and existing customers on 16 February 2024.
  • Google Workspace: new customers from 16 January 2025, existing monthly plans from 17 March 2025.
  • QuickBooks Online: 1 July 2025 for client-billed subscriptions and 1 August 2025 for accountant-billed ones.
  • Power BI and Microsoft 365 (business): existing customers keep their current pricing until their contract renews.
  • Backblaze B2: existing committed contracts keep their price until renewal.
  • Articulate 360: the increase applies at renewal, and multi-year plans with locked pricing keep their rate until the contract ends.
  • Atlassian (2026): quotes issued before 13 October 2026 are honored at the prior price until they expire.
  • Thinkific and Kajabi: from the first billing date or renewal on or after the effective date; Thinkific exempts non-profit and discounted accounts.

What came with the new price

Several vendors changed packaging at the same time as the price, and some said so in their own announcements. Read the notice for what moved with the number:

  • Google said Gemini became part of Workspace Business and Enterprise plans when the new prices started.
  • Microsoft added Copilot to the US consumer plans Microsoft 365 Personal and Family and raised them by $3 a month.
  • Voiceflow moved to credits, and Figma moved to one seat per user with higher Full seat prices.
  • Kit and Kajabi described their increases as their first in 12 and 10 years, and Thinkific as its first since 2022.
  • Bulutfon cited rising costs for its January 2026 Apsiyon Sanal Santral Plus update and for the yearly number fee increase.

Before your next renewal

  1. Find the renewal date and the notice period. Many of the increases above reached existing customers only at renewal, so the date in your contract decides when you pay more.
  2. Compare billing periods. Slack's Business+ price rose from $12.50 to $15 per user on annual billing and from $15 to $18 on monthly billing. See per-seat vs usage-based pricing for how the periods change a stack's total.
  3. Ask about locked terms. Multi-year plans (Articulate 360), committed contracts (Backblaze) and quotes issued before a cut-off (Atlassian) kept the old price for a while.
  4. Recount seats and plans. After a repackaging such as Figma's seat types, the cheapest mix may differ from the one you bought before.
  5. Price alternatives before you renew. Our alternatives pages for Jira, Slack, Todoist and QuickBooks list substitutes with their starting prices, and the buying checklist covers what to test first.
  6. Watch for the next change. The price changes page lists every verified change with its sources and has an RSS feed. For where list prices stand today, see the SaaS Pricing Index and our 2026 pricing analysis.

Frequently asked questions

How much did SaaS prices rise between 2024 and 2026?

In our log of 32 verified increases, the 14 plans with a stated old and new USD price rose by a median of 20%, ranging from 7% (Jira and Confluence Standard) to 100% (Airbyte Cloud Standard). The figures come from the price changes log and cover the tools we have searched, not the whole market.

Which SaaS tools raised prices in 2026?

Verified increases in 2026 include Bulutfon (January and September), Kajabi (13 January), FreshBooks (5 March), 1Password (27 March), Backblaze B2 (1 May), Microsoft 365 for business (1 July), QuickBooks Online (1 August), Thinkific (13 August), DeepSeek's API (16 August), Airbyte Cloud (21 September) and Jira and Confluence (13 October).

Do existing customers pay the new price right away?

Often not. In the notices we read, existing customers moved to the new price at their next renewal or billing date, for example at Power BI, Backblaze, Articulate 360 and Thinkific, and some vendors honored earlier quotes until they expired. The exact rule differs per vendor, so check the notice for your plan.

Do SaaS vendors ever cut prices?

Rarely in this log: 7 of the 96 entries are decreases, against 32 increases. Packaging changes (42 entries) and free-plan changes (11) are more common than price cuts.

How can I check whether a tool changed its price?

Tool pages in the directory show a price changes section when we have a verified entry, and the price changes page lists all of them by date and kind. Each entry links the vendor notice or pricing page it is based on.
