Notch Metrics
Revenue, MRR and subscriber counts in your MacBook notch
Notch Metrics is a BI & dashboards tool for Small businesses and Developers, offered as paid ($9/mo). Popular alternatives include Basedash, Databox, Querri.
About Notch Metrics
Notch Metrics is a native macOS app made by Musthaq Ahamad that puts business numbers such as revenue, MRR, subscribers and the day's takings into the MacBook notch. Collapsed, the notch looks untouched; hover over the camera housing and widgets expand over whatever you are doing, then fold back when you move away. It needs an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 14 or later and has no Dock icon.
The site lists 16 live sources: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Dodo Payments, RevenueCat and Shopify for revenue, plus PostHog, Plausible, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Search Console, YouTube, GitHub, OpenAI and Claude. Several, including Shopify and PostHog, are marked beta, and more are on the way. Provider keys are encrypted and held on the server, so the Mac only receives the resulting numbers. Widgets come in four sizes, and a coding agent such as Claude Code can write custom metrics through the Notch Metrics MCP server. There is one plan: $9 a month or $49 a year.
It fits indie founders and small SaaS or app teams who check Stripe or RevenueCat many times a day. It is a glanceable display, not an analytics suite: there are no cohorts, reports or team sharing. ChartMogul and Baremetrics analyse subscription revenue in depth, Klipfolio builds shared KPI dashboards, and Stripe's own dashboard is free.
Notch Metrics launched on Product Hunt on October 29, 2026 and was #4 on the daily leaderboard when checked late that day. Buying tip: use the 7-day trial, which needs no card, to confirm your providers connect, then take yearly billing if you keep it.

Our take
Notch Metrics does one small job well: it turns the notch into a quiet, always-there revenue display with honest, documented calculations. If you already check Stripe or RevenueCat many times a day, the trial is worth it; anyone who needs analysis rather than a glance should look at a full dashboard tool.
