Clocknext
Usage metering, credits and margin tracking for billing AI agents
Clocknext is a payments & billing tool for Developers and Small businesses, offered as freemium ($300/mo). Popular alternatives include MRRaudit, Stripe, Craftgate.
About Clocknext
Clocknext is a billing and monetization platform for AI-native apps and agents, founded by CEO Vijayanand Kailash, formerly of Zoho and MediBuddy. It captures usage signals from your product, prices them with credits, wallets, outcomes or units, generates invoices and shows what each customer, agent and model costs you next to what you charge.
A workspace keeps a catalog of AI models with per-million-token input, output and cache prices, so every credit or outcome is costed against real provider rates. Plans can mix prepaid and postpaid entitlements, bundle sub-agents into composites, and mark an outcome delivered only when all its sub-agents succeed. Payments are collected through Stripe or Paddle, and an MCP server with a Claude Code plugin can record usage. All features are on every plan; tiers differ by billed revenue: Free up to $100K a year, then $300, $500 and $900 a month for $250K, $500K and $1M.
It fits AI startups whose pricing mixes credits and outcomes and who want margin per agent run. Chargebee and Recurly are mature subscription billing systems with deeper revenue recognition, and Stripe Billing is simpler if you already live in Stripe, while Clocknext puts model cost beside price. Clocknext is young and does not process payments itself.
On November 5, 2026 Clocknext launched on Product Hunt and ranked #6 on Product Hunt's daily leaderboard for November 5, 2026. Buying tip: the Free plan covers up to $100K of billed revenue with no gated features, so model your real pricing there before paying, and check annual billing for the 20% discount.

Our take
Clocknext is a sensible first billing layer for AI products whose costs vary per request, and the Free tier is generous enough to prove it out. Larger companies should confirm integrations and data export before committing, since the product is still young.
