Attio

Attio is a CRM from London-based Attio Ltd that is built like a database rather than a fixed sales pipeline. Objects (people, companies, deals or anything you define, such as workspaces or subscriptions), attributes and relationships are fully customizable, and every list is a filterable, sortable view over that data. Connecting Gmail, Google Calendar or Outlook lets Attio create records automatically and enrich people and companies, so the CRM fills itself as the team works.

On top of the data model sit workflows with triggers, branches and AI steps, reports for pipeline and activity, email sequences and, on Pro, call recording with AI summaries. The REST API and webhooks are first-class, which attracts startups that want product usage data to live next to customer data. Pricing is per seat: a free plan for up to three seats, then Plus, Pro and Enterprise, with SAML SSO, unlimited objects and audit logs at the top.

Attio suits startups and tech companies whose go-to-market teams like Notion- or Linear-style software and want to model their own business. It is thinner on marketing automation, support ticketing and ready-made integrations than HubSpot, and lacks the enterprise depth of Salesforce. Folk is a lighter relationship CRM for small teams, while Pipedrive remains simpler for classic deal pipelines.

Microsoft Dynamics 365

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is Microsoft's family of business applications, launched in 2016 when the company merged its Dynamics CRM and Dynamics AX ERP lines into one cloud suite. CRM apps include Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Customer Insights; ERP apps include Finance, Supply Chain Management and Business Central. As a CRM, Dynamics 365 Sales manages leads, accounts, opportunities, forecasts and sales processes for organizations already invested in Microsoft 365.

All apps sit on Microsoft Dataverse and the Power Platform, so teams can extend them with Power Apps, automate steps in Power Automate and report in Power BI. Sales Professional covers core sales force automation and dashboards; Sales Enterprise adds Copilot in Dynamics 365, prebuilt agents such as the Sales Close Agent, opportunity summaries and deep customization; Sales Premium adds Sales Insights, AI recommended actions and data enrichment. Microsoft Relationship Sales bundles Sales Enterprise with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Dynamics 365 fits mid-size and large companies standardized on Outlook, Teams and Azure that want CRM and ERP on one data platform. It is heavier than HubSpot or Pipedrive, usually needs a Microsoft partner to implement, and licensing is complex. Against Salesforce it is often cheaper per seat and better integrated with Office, while Salesforce leads on ecosystem size.

Buying tip: listed prices assume an annual commitment, and Copilot Credits for agents are metered separately beyond the Premium allowance, so model AI usage before signing. A 30-day trial is available.
