Ovren

AI developer that turns plain requests into reviewed pull requests

Ovren is a developer tools tool for Small businesses and Freelancers, offered as freemium. Popular alternatives include Lovable, Bolt.new, Retool.

About Ovren

Ovren is an AI software developer for teams that have an existing codebase but limited engineering time. You describe a change in plain language, in any language, and Ovren maps the repository, plans and sizes the task for your approval, then delivers the work as a pull request with an execution report. Its makers on Product Hunt are Mikita Aliaksandrovich, Maxim Agapov and Paul Chaus; the company says its legal entity details will be published once incorporation is complete.

Ovren works on a safe copy of the repository, never the live one, and splits work between AI frontend and backend developers. Each task allows up to five revision rounds, and code is processed in ephemeral environments and not used for training. Setup is a single GitHub App install. Pricing is credit-based with no subscription: most changes cost one credit and larger ones up to three. Free covers five changes, Pro is a one-time $29 pack of 50 credits, enough for up to 50 changes, and Team is custom.

It suits founders, product managers and agencies who want small product changes shipped without writing code. Lovable builds new apps from prompts rather than editing an existing repository, and Cursor is an editor for people who code. Only GitHub is supported today, with GitLab and Bitbucket listed as coming soon, and there are no public docs.

Ovren first launched on Product Hunt in April 2026, and on October 23, 2026 it launched Live Preview, a clickable preview of the real page for every frontend change before merge. Buying tip: preview links expire, so review changes promptly.

Common use cases

  1. 1Shipping copy, layout and styling changes without a developer
  2. 2Letting a product manager prototype a feature on the real codebase
  3. 3Clearing a backlog of small bug fixes as reviewed pull requests
  4. 4Agencies making client website tweaks in their own repositories

Best for

Founders, product managers and agencies with a GitHub codebase who need small changes delivered as reviewable pull requests.

Not ideal for

Teams on GitLab or Bitbucket, or developers who prefer an AI editor they drive themselves (Cursor).

Integrations

  • GitHub
  • Vercel
  • Netlify
  • React
  • Vue
  • Stripe

Our take

Ovren is a sensible way for non-engineers to get small, reviewed changes into a real codebase, and Live Preview removes much of the guesswork. Use the free five changes first, and note that the company is not yet incorporated before relying on it for client work.
