Druva
SaaS backup for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, endpoints and cloud
Druva is a backup & SaaS data protection tool for Enterprise and Small businesses, offered as paid. Founded in United States in 2008. Popular alternatives include CrashPlan, Veeam.
About Druva
Druva is a cloud data protection company founded in 2008 in Pune, India, by former Veritas engineers Jaspreet Singh, Milind Borate and Ramani Kothandaraman, and now headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Its Resilience Cloud is delivered as a fully managed SaaS service, so customers back up laptops, SaaS apps, servers and cloud workloads without buying or running backup hardware.
Coverage spans Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce and Dynamics 365, endpoints, VMware, Hyper-V and Nutanix VMs, SQL and Oracle databases, NAS, AWS and Azure workloads, plus identity data in Entra ID, Active Directory and Okta. Security features include anomaly detection, a quarantine bay, curated recovery after ransomware and managed data detection and response. Plans are per user (Enterprise and Elite) or bundled for SMBs, and prices are quoted rather than published.
Druva fits IT teams that want one console for endpoint and SaaS backup with eDiscovery and legal hold, and mid-size companies that prefer no backup infrastructure at all. It is overkill if you only need to protect a small Google Workspace domain; Spanning and Afi.ai are lighter for SaaS-only backup, and Backblaze is cheaper for simple file and server backup.
Recent development: in early 2026 Druva launched Threat Watch for continuous threat detection, added DruAI agents that compress forensic reporting from days to minutes, and extended protection to Azure Government. Its plan pages now also list AI data such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Claude as protected workloads.
