Clockify

Clockify is a time tracking app from CAKE.com, a software company that also makes the Pumble team chat and Plaky project management tools. Its defining trait is a free plan with unlimited projects and tracked time for up to 5 users, which made it one of the most widely used time trackers among freelancers, agencies and companies of all sizes.

People track time with a start-stop timer, manual entries or weekly timesheets, across the web app, desktop and mobile apps, and a browser extension that adds a timer inside tools like Jira, Asana and Trello. A kiosk mode turns a shared device into a punch clock for on-site staff. Reports summarize hours by project, client, user and tag and can be shared or exported. Paid tiers are priced per seat: Basic adds admin controls, Standard adds timesheet approvals and invoicing with billable rates, Pro adds scheduling, expenses and project budgets, and Enterprise covers SSO and custom domains. GPS location tracking is available on higher tiers.

Clockify suits teams that need reliable hours for client billing, payroll or project costing without paying for basic tracking. The interface is denser than Toggl Track, which many users find more pleasant and stronger at reporting, and some admin features sit behind paid seats for everyone in the workspace. Harvest combines time tracking with invoicing for agencies, and Hubstaff is stronger for remote workforce monitoring.

Superhuman

Superhuman is a premium email client for Gmail and Outlook accounts, founded in 2014 by Rahul Vohra in San Francisco. It is built around speed: nearly every action has a keyboard shortcut, the interface is designed to respond instantly, and a guided onboarding teaches users to process email toward inbox zero.

Key features include split inboxes that separate important senders from newsletters and notifications, snippets for reusable text, reminders that bring back threads when nobody replies, scheduled sending, undo send, read statuses and calendar integration. Its AI features write and edit replies in your tone, summarize long threads, auto-label and triage incoming email, and let you ask questions across your mailbox. Pricing is per user per month with Starter, Business and Enterprise tiers; Business adds team features and CRM integrations, and Enterprise adds SSO and security controls. Grammarly acquired Superhuman in 2025 and has since used the Superhuman name for its wider productivity suite.

Superhuman is worth the cost for founders, investors, executives and salespeople who handle hundreds of emails a day, where saving even a few minutes per hour adds up. Light email users will not notice enough difference to justify the price, and it only supports Gmail and Microsoft accounts. Gmail with Gemini or Outlook with Copilot covers basic AI help, Spark offers a cheaper smart inbox, and Shortwave is the closest AI-first alternative for Gmail users.
