Bitrix24
Bitrix24 is an all-in-one business suite that combines CRM, task and project management, team chat and video calls, an intranet, a website and store builder and HR tools. It launched in 2012 from the team behind Bitrix, a web software company founded in 1998 in Kaliningrad, Russia, and the company says more than 15 million organizations have chosen it. Its core job is to give an SMB one workspace for selling, collaborating and running internal processes.
The CRM covers leads, deals, pipelines, invoices, estimates, web forms and a contact center that pulls in email, telephony, WhatsApp and messengers. Tasks support Kanban, Gantt and time tracking, and CoPilot adds AI across CRM, tasks, chat and calls. Pricing is per organization, not per user: a free plan for 1-2 users, then Basic (5 users), Standard (50), Professional (100) and Enterprise from 250 users. A self-hosted on-premise edition is sold separately.
Bitrix24 fits cost-conscious SMBs that want many tools for one flat price. The trade-offs are a crowded interface with a steep learning curve and modules that are shallower than best-of-breed tools. HubSpot has a cleaner CRM and stronger marketing automation, Zoho CRM offers deeper customization inside a wider app suite, and monday.com is easier for project-centric teams.
The 2026 push is Vibecode, which lets users describe apps, agents and chatbots in an AI chat and connect them to their account, alongside an MCP server. Use the free 15-day trial of the top tiers, and compare annual prices: Standard drops from $144 to $99 a month for up to 50 users.
Salesforce
Salesforce Sales Cloud is the flagship CRM of Salesforce, the San Francisco company founded in 1999 by Marc Benioff that pioneered software as a service. It is the most customisable CRM on the market and the standard in enterprise sales organisations, and it sits within a wider platform that includes Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud, Tableau, MuleSoft and Slack, all acquired or built over the past two decades.
Objects, fields, page layouts, Flow automation, approval processes and Apex code let companies model almost any sales process, and the AppExchange marketplace offers thousands of extensions. Sales Cloud covers leads, accounts, opportunities, forecasting, quoting, territory management and analytics, while Einstein and Agentforce add AI scoring, generative assistance and autonomous agents that can work on leads and service cases. A Free Suite covers basic use at no cost, and paid licences are per user per month, from Starter and Pro Suites for small teams up to the Core, Advanced and Max editions on annual contracts, with many paid add-ons.
Salesforce pays off when scale, process complexity and integration depth justify the investment, and when the company can afford admins or implementation partners. For small and mid-size businesses it is often slower and more expensive than necessary. HubSpot delivers faster time to value with an easier interface, Pipedrive is simpler for small sales teams, Microsoft Dynamics 365 suits Microsoft-centric enterprises, and Attio appeals to startups wanting a modern, flexible CRM.
