Appcircle

Mobile CI/CD, testing distribution and in-house app store

Appcircle is a developer tools tool for Developers and Enterprise, offered as freemium. Founded in in .

About Appcircle

Appcircle is a mobile DevOps platform that grew out of Smartface, a mobile development company with roots in Turkey; the two products for mobile CI/CD were announced in 2019. The legal entity is Appcircle Inc. in the US, while much of the engineering is in Istanbul. Its core job is automating how iOS and Android apps are built, signed, tested and shipped, including inside banks and other regulated enterprises.

The platform is split into modules: Build for iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter on Apple Silicon machines; Testing Distribution to send builds to testers by email, QR code or a portal; an Enterprise App Store for in-house apps without MDM; Publish to App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery with approval gates; CodePush for over-the-air React Native updates; and Signing Identities for certificates and keystores. Appcircle AI diagnoses failed builds and offers an MCP server. A free Starter plan covers small projects, and the Corporate plan is quoted per module.

Appcircle fits enterprises that cannot send source code to a public cloud, since it can run on private cloud or fully self-hosted on Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift with SSO and LDAP. Its named customers include Ziraat Teknoloji, Halkbank and Intertech. For small teams, Bitrise and Codemagic are better known, and Firebase App Distribution or Expo cover lighter testing and update needs at lower cost.

The free Starter plan includes 20 builds a month with 30-minute builds, 1,000 CodePush updates and 5 store publishes. Paid Corporate pricing is not public and is billed as an annual license.

Best for

Enterprises and regulated companies that need a full mobile CI/CD and distribution stack they can run on their own infrastructure.

Not ideal for

Small app teams that want a well-known hosted CI with public pricing (Bitrise, Codemagic) or simple tester delivery (Firebase App Distribution).

Integrations

  • GitHub
  • GitLab
  • Bitbucket
  • Azure DevOps
  • App Store Connect
  • Google Play Console
  • Huawei AppGallery
  • Microsoft Intune

Our take

Appcircle is one of the few mobile CI/CD platforms that can run fully self-hosted, which makes it a serious option for banks and large enterprises. Smaller teams can try the free Starter plan, but should compare published prices from Bitrise or Codemagic before committing.
