ClickMeeting
ClickMeeting is a webinar and online meeting platform based in Gdańsk, Poland. It started around 2011 inside the email marketing company GetResponse and became an independent company in 2016. It reports more than 15 million users a year and is ISO 27001:2022 certified. Its core job is to run live, on-demand and automated webinars in the browser, with no download needed for attendees, plus the registration, payments and follow-up around them.
Features include registration pages, polls and surveys, screen sharing, breakout rooms, recording, AI transcription, certificates, paid webinars with Stripe or PayPal checkout and discount codes, and streaming to YouTube and Facebook. Plans are priced by attendee count: Live covers real-time events in tiers from 50 to 1,000 attendees, Automated adds pre-recorded webinars that run on a schedule with automatic reminders and follow-ups, and Enterprise supports events up to 10,000 viewers. There is a 14-day free trial for 25 attendees.
ClickMeeting fits trainers, educators, SaaS marketers and small businesses that want a reliable, easy webinar tool with built-in monetization. It is less suited to large hybrid conferences or deep marketing automation. GoTo Webinar is the long-time enterprise standard, Livestorm offers a more modern event workflow with stronger CRM sync, and Demio or WebinarJam focus on marketing-driven evergreen funnels.
Buying tip: price tiers jump with attendee count (Live is $48 for 50 attendees but $335 for 1,000 monthly), so pick the tier that matches your typical live audience and save up to 20% with annual billing.
Cvent
Cvent is an event management and hospitality technology company founded in 1999 by Reggie Aggarwal and headquartered in Tysons, Virginia. Blackstone acquired it in 2023 for about $4.6 billion. Its core job: run an organisation's whole event program, from venue sourcing and registration to the onsite badge printer and post-event reporting.
The platform is a suite of modules: registration and event marketing, the Cvent Supplier Network for venue sourcing, Passkey for hotel room blocks, abstract and speaker management, mobile event apps, Attendee Hub for virtual and hybrid engagement, OnArrival check-in and badging, lead capture for exhibitors, webinars, surveys and event video. Prices are by quote: a Professional license covers only the modules you pick, Enterprise bundles registration, Attendee Hub and OnArrival with SSO and API access, and in some countries a pay-as-you-go option lets you build an event free and pay per registration.
Cvent fits enterprises, associations and agencies running many events a year that need Salesforce or Marketo sync, approvals and budgets in one system. It is expensive, implementation takes weeks, and smaller teams find it heavy. Eventbrite is far simpler for ticketed public events, Airmeet and Livestorm cover virtual events and webinars for less, and Zoom Events suits teams already standardised on Zoom.
Cvent closed its roughly $400 million all-cash acquisition of webinar platform ON24 on April 1, 2026, after buying AI video platform Goldcast in late 2025, so webinars now weigh more in the suite.
