Bulutfon

Bulutfon is a Turkish cloud phone system, often called a virtual PBX or bulut santral, built for small and mid-sized businesses in Turkey. Instead of buying and maintaining switchboard hardware in the office, companies get their phone numbers, call routing and reporting as a subscription service that works over the internet on desk phones, computers and mobile phones.

Businesses can use local geographic numbers and 0850 numbers, set up IVR menus that greet callers and route them to the right department, create call queues and ring groups, record calls, and receive voicemail by email. Employees answer calls from desktop and mobile softphone apps or IP desk phones, so remote and field teams stay on the same number. A web panel shows call reports, missed calls and agent performance, and integrations with CRM and help desk tools display caller details and log calls automatically, with an API for custom connections. Bulutfon operates under authorization from Turkey's telecom regulator (BTK) and is priced in Turkish lira per user or package.

Bulutfon fits Turkish SMBs, e-commerce companies, clinics, agencies and support teams that want a professional phone setup quickly and without hardware. Call recordings contain personal data, so businesses should handle them in line with KVKK. Local competitors such as Verimor and Netgsm offer similar cloud PBX services, while international VoIP tools like Aircall and Dialpad have richer integrations but weaker support for Turkish numbers, local billing and regulation.

Freshdesk

Freshdesk is the help desk product of Freshworks, the company founded in Chennai, India, in 2010 by Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy and listed on Nasdaq since 2021. It is one of the longest-standing alternatives to Zendesk, known for covering most of the same ground at lower prices.

Freshdesk turns email, web forms and a customer portal into tickets with assignment, priorities, statuses, canned responses, collision detection and SLA policies. Automations route and update tickets on creation, on events and on time triggers, and a knowledge base and community forums support self-service. Freddy AI adds an AI agent that answers customers, a copilot that drafts and summarizes replies for agents and insights on trends. The Omni edition adds live chat, WhatsApp and other messaging, and voice through Freshcaller. There is a 14-day free trial, followed by Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans priced per agent, with many AI features reserved for higher tiers or sold as add-ons.

Freshdesk suits small and mid-size support teams that want structured ticketing with a manageable price, and companies already using Freshworks CRM or IT service management. Omnichannel and AI raise costs, marketplace app quality varies, and the interface can feel crowded at scale. Help Scout is simpler for email-centric teams, Zendesk is deeper for complex enterprise operations, Intercom leads on AI-first in-app support, and Chatwoot or Crisp are cheaper for chat-first teams.
