Botpress
Botpress is a platform for building AI agents and chatbots powered by large language models. The Canadian company began with an open-source chatbot framework and later rebuilt the product as a cloud platform centered on a visual studio, where builders combine autonomous LLM nodes with structured workflows and can drop into JavaScript code whenever a step needs custom logic.
Agents draw on knowledge bases built from websites, documents and tables, call external systems through more than 100 integrations, and deploy to web chat, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, Slack, Microsoft Teams and other channels. Human handoff, analytics, versioning and role-based collaboration are layered across plans. Pricing starts with a free plan of 100 conversations, then Plus and Team plans priced by included monthly conversations, with extra conversation packs and an AI usage allowance; usage beyond that allowance is billed, so the total cost depends on traffic and the models you choose.
Botpress fits developers, agencies and product teams building several agents that must follow defined processes and connect to real systems. Non-technical users who simply want a website bot trained on their content will be faster with Chatbase, Voiceflow offers a more design-oriented collaboration experience for conversation teams, and support organizations already on a help desk may prefer Intercom Fin or Zendesk AI agents. The product evolves quickly, so older tutorials and community answers can go out of date.
CBOT
CBOT is an enterprise conversational AI company founded in 2017 and based at Istanbul Teknokent in Avcılar, Istanbul. Led by CEO Mete Aktaş, it builds voice and chat AI agents for large organisations, mainly in banking, insurance, telecom and retail. Its customers include Ziraat Bankası, Halkbank and Garanti BBVA, and QNB's mobile banking assistant Q runs on the CBOT Platform. Gartner featured the company in its Competitive Landscape: Conversational Solutions 2025 report.
The CBOT Platform is used to build, operate, monitor and improve AI agents alongside human teams. Voice agents handle calls for collections, identity verification, appointments and customer service; digital agents work across web, WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS or run behind the scenes to trigger workflows and update records. A customer service workspace gives human agents cross-channel history, live answer suggestions and summaries. It also sells packaged digital employees such as TAHSİLDAR for collections, plus its own LLM. Guardrails, observability and evaluation are built in, and it can be deployed in public cloud, private cloud, on-premises or hybrid. Pricing is not published.
CBOT fits regulated enterprises that need Turkish-language voice automation and on-premises deployment. It is not a self-serve tool: Botpress and Voiceflow let small teams build bots on a free tier, and Landbot is simpler for marketing chatbots.
Buying tip: ask for sector references and start with a pilot on one high-volume use case, such as collections calls.
