BigMarker

BigMarker is a browser-based webinar and event platform from Chicago, developed in 2010 by founder Zhu-Song Mei. It runs live, automated and on-demand webinars, virtual conferences and the digital side of in-person and hybrid events. Most customers are B2B marketing teams that treat webinars as a pipeline channel.

Webinars run without downloads, with chat, Q&A, polls, handouts, offers, breakout rooms and simulive or evergreen replays. The event suite adds custom registration, a mobile event app, badge printing and check-in, while Media Hubs turn recordings into on-demand video, learning and resource libraries. BigMarker AI creates derivative content and scores leads, and native integrations push data to Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo and Eloqua. Pricing is quote-based: webcast plans (Basic, Professional, Enterprise) differ mainly by host licenses, and event, mobile app and media hub licenses are priced separately.

BigMarker fits mid-market and enterprise teams that run frequent webinars plus a few large virtual or hybrid events and want both on one platform with CRM sync. It is too much for occasional small webinars, and the lack of public pricing makes quick comparisons hard. Demio is simpler and transparently priced for SMB webinars, Livestorm is a clean European option with self-serve plans, and Zoom Events suits companies already standardized on Zoom.

Buying tip: BigMarker does not publish list prices, and trials or proofs of concept are arranged through sales. Get a written quote covering host seats, audience size and add-ons.

Wistia

Wistia is a video hosting and video marketing platform founded in 2006 by Chris Savage and Brendan Schwartz in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is known for an ad-free, brandable player and for treating video as a marketing channel rather than a social feed. Its core job is hosting business videos on your own site, capturing leads from viewers and showing which videos drive pipeline.

Wistia offers a customizable player, channels and playlists, in-video calls to action and email forms, heatmaps that show how each viewer watched, A/B testing of thumbnails and videos, webinars and live events, a screen and camera recorder, and AI features such as transcripts, translations, dubbing and audio descriptions. The free plan includes 25 GB storage and 1 user with Wistia branding. Business removes branding and adds CTAs, forms and advanced analytics; Business + Signals adds marketing automation sync, lead scoring and revenue attribution; Enterprise adds SSO and playback protection.

It suits B2B marketing teams that publish product demos, webinars and educational video on their own site and care about SEO and lead capture. Vimeo is cheaper for general hosting and creators; Vidyard focuses more on sales prospecting videos; Loom covers quick async messages. Wistia gets expensive once extra users, Signals and webinars are added.

Recent change: in 2026 Wistia replaced its older Plus, Pro and Advanced tiers with Free, Business and Enterprise plans priced by storage and bandwidth, so older comparisons that quote per-video limits are out of date. Extra users cost about $25 each per month.
