Avoma
Avoma is a US-based AI meeting assistant that records, transcribes and summarizes calls, then extends into scheduling, lead routing, conversation intelligence and revenue intelligence. It is aimed at sales, customer success and recruiting teams that want call notes, CRM updates and coaching insights in one tool instead of stitching together a notetaker, a scheduler and a separate coaching platform.
The core plan records Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings, transcribes in more than 70 languages, writes AI notes from templates, drafts follow-up emails and pushes notes and fields into Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive. Ask Avoma answers questions about a meeting or, on Enterprise, across all meetings. Paid seats are only needed for people who record; viewers are free. Conversation Intelligence (call scoring, talk patterns, topic trackers), Revenue Intelligence (deal and churn risk, MEDDIC or BANT scoring, forecasting) and Lead Router are sold as per-seat add-ons.
Avoma fits SMB and mid-market revenue teams that want Gong-style insight at a fraction of the price. Gong is deeper for large sales organizations, Fireflies and Otter are cheaper if you only need transcripts, and tl;dv is lighter and friendlier for product and research calls.
Buying tip: annual billing saves up to a third on the base plan, but add-ons quickly double the per-seat cost, so trial the Organization plan for 14 days with all add-ons enabled and keep only the ones reps actually use. Avoma also offers an MCP server and API that expose meeting transcripts and notes to AI assistants.
Supernormal
Supernormal is an AI meeting notetaker founded in 2020 by Colin Treseler, a former product manager at Meta and Klarna, and Fabian Perez, a former design lead at GitHub and Splice. It began as a bot that joined calls and wrote notes; it has since moved to a desktop app that records meetings from your computer's audio, so no bot appears in the participant list.
The Mac and Windows app captures Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Slack huddles, plus in-person conversations and voice notes, and opens a transcript, summary and action items in the web app. Meetings can be grouped into projects, and you can prompt across them to draft follow-up emails, briefs, proposals, slides, spreadsheets and images. An MCP connection exposes this context to other AI tools. Since April 2026 pricing is credit-based: Free gives 15 credits a month, and Team and Business are flat monthly prices with unlimited seats sharing a credit pool.
It suits small teams and agencies that want notes plus finished deliverables without a visible bot. Granola is the closest bot-free rival with a stronger note editor; Otter and Fathom offer more generous transcription and CRM syncing; Fireflies has more integrations.
The switch from per-seat plans to shared credits is the key buying detail. Supernormal does not publish how many credits each task uses, so a busy team can burn through 50 credits quickly. Track usage on the billing page for a few weeks before committing to annual billing.
