Avoma

Avoma is a US-based AI meeting assistant that records, transcribes and summarizes calls, then extends into scheduling, lead routing, conversation intelligence and revenue intelligence. It is aimed at sales, customer success and recruiting teams that want call notes, CRM updates and coaching insights in one tool instead of stitching together a notetaker, a scheduler and a separate coaching platform.

The core plan records Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings, transcribes in more than 70 languages, writes AI notes from templates, drafts follow-up emails and pushes notes and fields into Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive. Ask Avoma answers questions about a meeting or, on Enterprise, across all meetings. Paid seats are only needed for people who record; viewers are free. Conversation Intelligence (call scoring, talk patterns, topic trackers), Revenue Intelligence (deal and churn risk, MEDDIC or BANT scoring, forecasting) and Lead Router are sold as per-seat add-ons.

Avoma fits SMB and mid-market revenue teams that want Gong-style insight at a fraction of the price. Gong is deeper for large sales organizations, Fireflies and Otter are cheaper if you only need transcripts, and tl;dv is lighter and friendlier for product and research calls.

Buying tip: annual billing saves up to a third on the base plan, but add-ons quickly double the per-seat cost, so trial the Organization plan for 14 days with all add-ons enabled and keep only the ones reps actually use. Avoma also offers an MCP server and API that expose meeting transcripts and notes to AI assistants.

Krisp

Krisp is an AI voice productivity app founded in 2017 by Davit Baghdasaryan and Arto Minasyan, with teams in Armenia and the United States. It became known for removing background noise, other voices and echo from calls in any communication app, working as a virtual microphone and speaker on the user's computer rather than as a plugin for one platform.

Beyond noise cancellation, Krisp records and transcribes meetings on the device without sending a bot into the call, then generates AI notes, summaries and action items. Accent conversion adjusts a speaker's accent in real time, a feature aimed mainly at call centers, and a call center product adds noise cancellation and voice tools at scale for contact center agents. There is no permanent free plan, only a 7-day free trial; Core unlocks unlimited noise cancellation and the AI note-taker, Advanced adds accent conversion and admin controls, and Enterprise adds SSO and compliance. It runs on Windows and macOS with browser options.

Krisp suits remote workers, sales reps and support agents who take calls in noisy homes, offices or co-working spaces. It uses some CPU, its meeting notes are less advanced than dedicated note-takers such as Fireflies or Otter.ai, and audio professionals recording podcasts usually prefer studio tools like Adobe Podcast or iZotope. Built-in noise suppression in Zoom, Teams and Google Meet covers basic needs for free.

Krisp's recent focus has been on its bot-free AI meeting assistant, positioning it against note-taking tools as well as audio utilities.
