Arcade
Arcade is an interactive demo and product video platform from Arcade Software, founded in early 2021 by former Atlassian colleagues Caroline Clark and Rich Manalang. Its seed round was led by Upfront Ventures with Sequoia and Bond. The original job is simple: record clicks in your product with a browser extension and turn them into a clickable, embeddable walkthrough that prospects can try on a website, blog or social post before signing up.
Today Arcade sells two product lines. Interactive demos add branching, hotspots, AI voiceovers, AI translations, lead forms, CTAs, MP4 and GIF export and engagement insights. AI video builds editable launch videos, changelogs, tutorials and talking-head clips from your product and brand, and can be requested from Claude or ChatGPT through the Arcade MCP. Demo plans run Free, Growth (per seat) and Enterprise; AI video has a separate Free and credit-based Pro plan.
Arcade suits product marketers, sales engineers and growth teams at product-led SaaS companies who want demos live in hours. It is not an in-app onboarding tool like Userflow or Stonly, and async screen recording for internal updates is cheaper in Loom. Custom domains, SSO and the native Salesforce integration sit on Enterprise only.
Buying tip: demo subscriptions do not include AI video credits, and monthly credits do not roll over. Arcade says more than 37,000 teams use it, with logos such as Atlassian, Zapier, Retool and Carta, so check which product line you actually need before buying both.
Vimeo
Vimeo is a video hosting and streaming platform founded in 2004 in New York by Jake Lodwick and Zach Klein. It spent years under IAC, was spun off as a public company in 2021, and was acquired by the Italian software group Bending Spoons for about $1.38 billion in a deal completed in late 2025. Its core job is hosting video for businesses and creators in an ad-free, customizable player, with privacy controls YouTube does not offer.
Paid plans add embeddable players with your branding, password and domain-level privacy, review and approval with time-coded comments, video chapters, analytics, lead capture forms and calls to action. Advanced adds live streaming, webinars and virtual events with Q&A and polls, multistreaming and simulive. AI tools cover a script generator, automatic captions and translation sold through AI credits. A free plan allows two uploads a month; Starter, Standard and Advanced are priced per seat, and Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM and custom permissions.
Vimeo fits marketing teams, agencies, course creators and companies that need a clean, ad-free player and private sharing for client or internal video. It is weaker as a discovery channel than YouTube, Wistia goes deeper on marketing analytics, Vidyard on sales video, and Loom on quick async recordings.
Be careful with plan terms: since the Bending Spoons takeover, Vimeo has cut staff heavily (January 2026) and reports in 2026 describe accounts it classifies as business users being moved to the higher Studio tier at around $400 a month billed annually. Read the bandwidth terms first.
