AfterShip
AfterShip is a post-purchase platform for ecommerce brands, started in Hong Kong around 2011 to 2012 by Teddy Chan, Andrew Chan and Dante Tsang after Teddy built a script to cut where-is-my-order emails in his own store. It raised a $66M Series B led by Tiger Global in 2021. Its core job is keeping shoppers informed after checkout and reducing support tickets about deliveries, returns and delays.
The suite is sold as separate products: Tracking (branded tracking pages, delivery notifications, estimated delivery dates and analytics across 1,300+ carriers), Returns (self-serve returns and exchanges), Shipping (label printing and rate comparison), Protection (shipping insurance), plus personalization and warranty tools. AI features and an MCP server give assistants read access to shipment and return data. Each product has its own tiers, and the Shopify App Store versions are priced differently from direct plans.
AfterShip fits Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce brands that ship thousands of orders a year and want to turn tracking emails and pages into a marketing channel. Brands mainly needing cheap labels should look at Shippo, Easyship or ShipStation, and EU merchants often pick Sendcloud.
Buying tip: in mid-2026 AfterShip cut its direct Tracking plans from four to three, renamed Pro to Premium at $59 a month billed yearly, and moved to annual shipment quotas (6,000 a year on both paid tiers). API and webhooks start on Premium. On Shopify, compare the app's own plans, which include a free tier for 50 shipments a month.
Veeqo
Veeqo is a multichannel shipping and inventory platform founded in the UK in 2013 by an online seller and acquired by Amazon in 2021. It operates in the United States and the United Kingdom and says more than 100,000 sellers use it. Its core job is pulling orders from every sales channel into one place, comparing discounted carrier rates and printing labels in bulk, so merchants who ship their own orders spend less time and money on fulfillment.
The Shipping plan is free with unlimited orders, users, products and warehouses. It includes pre-negotiated rates from Amazon Shipping, UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL and OnTrac, rate shopping per package, bulk printing of up to 100 labels, Veeqo Credits worth up to 5% back on labels, and protections that help Amazon sellers against A-to-z claims. Paid Inventory (from $19 a month) adds inventory sync, demand forecasting, digital picking and an AI Seller Assistant; High Volume (from $350) adds NetSuite and an account manager. Veeqo earns a commission from carriers on each label.
Veeqo fits Amazon merchant-fulfilled sellers who also sell on eBay, Walmart, Shopify or TikTok Shop. It only serves US and UK shippers, leans heavily on the Amazon ecosystem and offers fewer carriers than ShipStation. Pirate Ship is simpler for USPS and UPS labels alone, and Linnworks goes deeper on multichannel listings and order rules.
Buying tip: orders fulfilled by Amazon FBA do not count toward chargeable volume on paid plans, and paid inventory pricing scales with monthly orders, so request a quote at your real volume.
