Dorik
Dorik is a no-code website builder aimed at freelancers, small businesses and agencies who want fast, good-looking sites without learning a complex design tool. Its core job is to take you from a template or an AI-generated draft to a published site with hosting, SSL and a custom domain included.
The editor is drag-and-drop with a library of templates and pre-built blocks. Dorik AI generates a full site, including copy and images, from a short prompt, which you then refine visually. A built-in CMS handles blogs and custom collections, membership features let you gate content behind sign-ups or payments, and forms, SEO settings and integrations cover typical small business needs. Plans are priced per site with clear tiers: Personal for a single site, Business for more sites and CMS items, and an Agency plan that adds a white-label dashboard so agencies can present Dorik under their own brand and bill clients directly.
Dorik suits freelancers and agencies that build many simple marketing sites and want predictable costs. It has less design flexibility and interaction power than Webflow or Framer, a smaller template marketplace and community, and only basic e-commerce, so online stores are better served by Shopify. Compared with Carrd it handles multi-page sites and blogs better; compared with Wix or Squarespace it is lighter and cheaper but has a smaller app ecosystem.
Semplice
Semplice is a portfolio system for designers that runs on WordPress, created by designer Tobias van Schneider and his team. It replaces the usual WordPress theme with a visual editor tailored to case studies, so designers can build layouts that look like custom-coded portfolio sites without writing code, while still owning their site and hosting.
The editor works on a flexible grid with columns, full-bleed images, video, galleries, typography controls and scroll animations, and it ships with case study templates, project grids, a blog and options for password-protected pages. Because it is built on WordPress, sites can use plugins, any hosting provider and standard SEO tools. Semplice is sold as a one-time license rather than a hosted subscription: Single and Studio licenses cover one domain, and a Business license covers up to ten domains for client work. Hosting, domain and WordPress maintenance are separate costs.
Semplice fits product and brand designers, small studios, illustrators and photographers who want a distinctive portfolio and are comfortable with WordPress. You are responsible for updates, backups and security, and the editor has a learning curve before layouts feel natural. Framer and Webflow offer hosted, highly designed sites without WordPress maintenance, Squarespace and Format are simpler portfolio options, and Cargo is popular with artists who want an experimental look. For non-portfolio sites such as stores or large blogs, a general CMS is the better choice.
