BigMarker
BigMarker is a browser-based webinar and event platform from Chicago, developed in 2010 by founder Zhu-Song Mei. It runs live, automated and on-demand webinars, virtual conferences and the digital side of in-person and hybrid events. Most customers are B2B marketing teams that treat webinars as a pipeline channel.
Webinars run without downloads, with chat, Q&A, polls, handouts, offers, breakout rooms and simulive or evergreen replays. The event suite adds custom registration, a mobile event app, badge printing and check-in, while Media Hubs turn recordings into on-demand video, learning and resource libraries. BigMarker AI creates derivative content and scores leads, and native integrations push data to Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo and Eloqua. Pricing is quote-based: webcast plans (Basic, Professional, Enterprise) differ mainly by host licenses, and event, mobile app and media hub licenses are priced separately.
BigMarker fits mid-market and enterprise teams that run frequent webinars plus a few large virtual or hybrid events and want both on one platform with CRM sync. It is too much for occasional small webinars, and the lack of public pricing makes quick comparisons hard. Demio is simpler and transparently priced for SMB webinars, Livestorm is a clean European option with self-serve plans, and Zoom Events suits companies already standardized on Zoom.
Buying tip: BigMarker does not publish list prices, and trials or proofs of concept are arranged through sales. Get a written quote covering host seats, audience size and add-ons.
Tito
Tito is an event ticketing platform from Dublin, Ireland, created by the organizers of tech conferences and widely used by developer conferences, meetups, workshops and community events. Its reputation rests on a clean, fast checkout for attendees and a fair, transparent fee model for organizers.
Organizers create releases, which are flexible ticket types with their own prices, quantities, dates and visibility, and add discount codes, waitlists, custom questions, invoicing and refunds. Attendees can manage and transfer their own tickets. The Tito check-in app scans tickets at the door, and an embeddable widget sells tickets directly on the event's own website. Payments go to the organizer's own Stripe or PayPal account, so money arrives directly instead of being held until after the event. Free events are free to run, while paid tickets carry a percentage fee plus the payment processor's charges. Webhooks and an API make it popular with technical organizers.
Tito fits conference organizers and communities that already have an audience and want tasteful, low-fee ticketing. It has no discovery marketplace to bring new attendees, marketing and reporting tools are basic, and it is a small company. Eventbrite provides discovery and marketing reach, Luma is popular for community events and meetups, and Pretix is an open-source option. Organizers in Turkey should note that Stripe does not onboard Turkish businesses and PayPal does not operate there, which limits paid ticketing through Tito.
For tech events, Tito remains a respected choice because it stays out of the way.
