Adobe Express

Adobe Express is Adobe's online and mobile design app for quick, template-based content. It launched under that name in December 2021, replacing Adobe Spark, and has since been rebuilt with Firefly generative AI built in. Its core job is letting non-designers make social posts, flyers, presentations and short videos without learning Photoshop.

Express offers a large template library, drag-and-drop editing, one-click quick actions such as background removal and resizing, Firefly text-to-image and generative fill, video editing with captions and animations, brand kits, PDF quick actions, a content scheduler for social channels and real-time collaboration. The free plan includes core tools, 5 GB of storage and limited AI generations. Premium adds premium templates and fonts, 250 generative credits a month, brand kits, one-click resize and video background removal; Firefly Pro bundles Premium with 4,000 credits and Photoshop on web and mobile; Teams adds pooled storage and an admin console.

Express fits teams already paying for Creative Cloud, since it opens Photoshop and Illustrator assets through Creative Cloud Libraries. Canva has a larger template and stock library, a more mature whiteboard and docs suite and stronger team workflows; Figma is a professional interface design tool rather than a template editor. Express can feel less polished than Canva for multi-page documents.

Buying tip: Premium comes with a 30-day free trial, and Express Premium is also included in Creative Cloud Pro, so check whether your team already has access before buying separate seats.

Miro

Miro is an online visual workspace where teams brainstorm, map processes, plan sprints and run workshops on an infinite canvas. It was founded in 2011 as RealtimeBoard by Andrey Khusid and Oleg Shardin, renamed Miro in 2019, and has grown into the default whiteboard at many large companies, with main offices in San Francisco and Amsterdam.

Beyond sticky notes, the canvas holds docs, tables, slides, kanban boards, diagrams with 4,700+ shapes on paid plans, timers and voting for workshops, and interactive prototypes. The AI layer has grown fast: Sidekicks are agents that work with your team's board context, Flows chain multi-step AI workflows into reusable templates, generators produce diagrams, mind maps and wireframes, and an MCP server lets coding agents read boards. There are 250+ integrations, with two-way Jira, Asana and Azure DevOps sync on higher tiers. The Free plan allows three editable boards; Starter and Business are per member, and Enterprise starts at 30 members.

Miro fits product, design, agile and consulting teams that collaborate visually across time zones. FigJam is cheaper for teams already in Figma, Canva's whiteboards suit marketers, and Mural targets facilitated enterprise workshops. Heavy boards can get slow on older laptops, and AI credits are limited per member.

Buying tip: in early 2026 Miro raised Business from $16 to $20 per member per month on annual billing ($25 monthly), so lock in annual pricing and check whether Starter's private boards and visitor editing already cover your needs.
